Gaffy’s Tractor Hire is proud to offer for dry hire our Horsch Avatar 6.16 SD Air Seeder. With an operating width of 6 metres and a transport width of only 2.89 metres, you get the best of both worlds, easy movement to different fields and a good working width to get the job done.
We have also optioned the new Avatar with a hydraulic auger that can fill both seed and fertiliser into a 5000 litre bin with a 50/50 split.
The single disc coulter of the Avatar range excels due to a high coulter pressure of up to 350 kg and thus is ideal for the most difficult of sowing conditions.
The range of applications is from direct seeding into stubble, over sowing of catch crops into main crops and direct seed on already cultivated fields.
The large depth control wheels guarantee that the correct placement depth is kept exact in all conditions.
Press wheels and wheels guarantees a safe covering and consolidation of the seed for an optimum strike.

10 Foot Grader Blade

Berends 10 Foot Grader Blade has the same features as a road grader but is towable by a tractor, only needing two sets of remotes and a 3 pin euro power plug.

By being able to angle the blade, tilt the blade, you can reform tracks and by dropping the wings on the side it then becomes a box grader.

Seed and Forage Bagger

The bag tensioner has an over-centre lever (others have a chain) meaning that one person can operate the machine. With the lever you can set the machine once, whereas chains have to be set all of the time Suitable for use with 9ft grain bags.
We have two machines available.
Uses an auger technique to push grain directly into the bag.
Bag stretching can be controlled by adjustment of the hydraulic brakes and the machine advances slowly as the bag fills.
The 9ft tunnel is suitable for use with 60m, 75m and 90m bags.
The machine is PTO driven (540mm) and has a high capacity filling auger which operates at 220T+ per hour.
